Leyla Omarovna Seid-Ogly
Acting
Leyla Omarovna knows how a theatrical production comes to life: from the first rehearsals and the development of a character to the moment the performance meets its audience. She has worked at the State Youth Theatre of Uzbekistan since 1994, serving as an actress, choreographer, and chief director. Her stage credits include roles in Fiddler on the Roof, The Doctor in Spite of Himself, The Little Prince, Thumbelina, and Pushkin Forever.
Her professional training combines choreography and dramatic arts. Leyla Omarovna graduated from the Tashkent Choreographic School, the studio school at the Youth Theatre of Uzbekistan, and later the Tashkent State Institute of Theatre and Art, where she specialized in Drama and Film Acting under the guidance of Nabi Abdurakhmanov.
As a director, she has staged productions including The Nutcracker, Simba: Battle of the Prides, and Listen to the Poet. She has worked with Dmitry Astrakhan, Igor Kachaev, and French director Nathalie Conon-Thauvin, and has participated in international festivals and tours, including productions of Coca-Cola and Humo Arena New Year's shows.
Her extensive stage experience is complemented by significant teaching work. She has taught at the State College of Variety and Circus Arts and the studio school at the Youth Theatre, graduating more than three groups of students as a mentor.
For children, this is an opportunity to discover theatre alongside a mentor who knows how to create productions and prepare actors for the stage. Studying with Leyla Omarovna means developing a professional approach to acting, stage performance, and collaborative creative work.
